I read the Roadmap and in general it is reasonable but lacking in several aspects. If I were to re-draft it I would include:
1) A clear call for Iran to stop fueling the Lebanese scene with arms
2) A clear call for an international force to intervene to stop the war
3) A clear call for Hizbollah to disarm
It is not enough to punish Israel for this, any solution that does put sanctions on Iran should it continue to meddle in Lebanese politics or that does not require Hizbollah to hand over its arms to the Lebanese army, is simply putting off a bigger disaster.
Let's nip this in the bud once and for all. |
